When you practise postulates, it is very important not to over try, especially with the one I am going to describe. This is a very powerful affirmation that can help to incredibly strongly purify your karmic body. The postulate is: “I am an eternal soul”. If you try to repeat it only for a few times, even if you do this silently and feel what you say, you may notice something strange happening. Is this normal? Yes, it is. Why? This is so because there are plenty of other programs that unconsciously say to our consciousness: “You are a mortal being and you will die. You will be destroyed. The world is dangerous”. So that is why the affirmation “I am an eternal soul” confronts such denials.

Is it worth saying it then? I think so, because what unites us with eternity and our inside spiritual level is the source of strength that helps us go on in the face of biggest difficulties. Our soul, not the mind, feels the relation with eternity in us. Such postulate is food for a soul and our spirit revives hearing such postulate too. And, yet, moderation is very important. Be wise: do not force things ahead and do not rush to consume the spirit but be in respectful relation with it when you try any technique.

How to learn to feel moderation? You may say: “I don’t have any experience, there isn’t a teacher near me and I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know what moderation is”. What can help you then? It is responsibility for what you do. If a person takes all the responsibility for what he/she does, then his/her structures become much more alert towards what the person does. Before starting the practice, you may tell yourself commandingly in your mind or aloud: “I affirm and take total responsibility for everything I am going to do and practise now. I invite my higher self to join me in this practice, to control and protect me in what I do. Let my practice be successful and beneficial. I will not exceed moderation and walk the right direction”.

Maybe those are empty words? My experience shows me that certainly they are not. It is important the way we prepare for the practice. If we do not prepare at all, results are adequate. Simple things sometimes bring better results than some elaborate ones. So take responsibility if you begin any practice. Ask your spirit, your higher self, atman and monad in you for their guidance, control and inspiration where necessary. Then your practice can be more successful and you will become your own teacher, at least for a while. This is very important.
